Meet Armani Baker
Armani Baker is a dynamic media professional and creative force whose passion for storytelling shines through every project she touches. Currently thriving as the Programming Coordinator at Weigel Broadcasting Co., she seamlessly blends her expertise in development, programming, pre-production, production, and producing, all while bringing a meticulous eye for detail and a bold creative vision to the table.
Armani’s journey reflects true perseverance, with impactful contributions to projects like The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Windy City Live, the BMI Championship PGA Tour with ESPN 1000 Chicago, the Chicago Humanities Festival, 247HH.com, A’Vents By August, and the BET Soul Train Awards 2022, among many others.
Armani is a proud graduate of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. Her passion for personal and professional growth extends beyond the classroom, having trained at The Second City Chicago Improv Program, Gyrl Wonder Leadership Academy, and the WEEN Academy (Women in Entertainment Empowerment Network).
With a strong passion for mentorship, Armani is devoted to empowering the next generation of media professionals. Her commitment is evident in her role as Co-Producer of GLMPI Talks, an inspiring talk show created by the Girls Like Me Project to amplify the voices of Black girls in Chicago.
A performer at heart, Armani’s foundation in the arts has shaped her ability to connect with audiences on a deeper level. She has trained at Acting Studio Chicago, The Second City, and Tasha Smith’s Actors Workshop. She’s graced stages at the Lookingglass Theater, The Obama White House for National Youth Justice Awareness Month, ETA Theater, the Manhattan Monologue Slam, and more. Recently, Armani was honored with the prestigious 3Arts Make a Wave Chicago Artist Award.
With her boundless creativity, leadership, and passion for storytelling, Armani continues to make waves in the entertainment industry and beyond.
